Katie Young, founder of Klondike Kettle Corn in Whitehorse, Yukon, blends her culinary expertise with a passion for community. With a background in restaurants and catering, Katie found her calling in crafting fresh, ready-to-eat popcorn experiences.
As a devoted mom, outdoor enthusiast, and food lover, she sees popcorn as more than a snack—it's a vehicle for connection and joy. Whether summiting mountains or gathering around a campfire, Katie's dedication to family, friends, and community shines through in every popped kernel.
We're passionate about creating a snack that embodies the adventurous and rugged spirit of the North.
We started popping small batches of our kettle corn at our local farmers market in 2010 and quickly became the Yukon's favourite snack. We continue to stay true to our beginnings as a community minded business that prides itself on creating a snack that brings people together.
